Monday - Maci had her 2nd to last soccer game and they played great! In fact they played so great that we did ice cream afterward :)

This Girl Sure Loves Her Coach!!
Tuesday - We headed to Clint's softball game at 715p. It was a nice evening to chat with Jacey while Ryan and Clint played some ball and our 4 kiddos played on the nearby playground. Chats with good friends are good for the soul!
Wednesday - Last soccer game for the outdoor season BOO!! We loved soccer so much - Maci is quite the little player and our family really enjoyed watching her. We cant wait for the indoor season this fall/winter.

Thursday - Today was get a lot done day. I ordered some guest bedroom throw pillow and curtains as well as started on some laundry. I had to get a jump start on the weekend errands since we would be gone at the Verplank cabin.
Friday - THE WEEKEND IS HERE!!! I worked from home in the afternoon while the painters were getting close to finishing the upstairs trim and doors - coming along slowly but surely! Clint got home with the kids shortly after lunch. We did a quick trip to Target for some snacks and then we were off to Balsam Lake for the 2nd annual Verplank camping/cabin weekend. The weather was INSANE good and the LAUGHS were a many!
Costume Kim Came Before the Kids Left School
Friday night was ladies night but we didn't close down the bars like we sillily decided to do last year (OUCH!) Instead Jamie, Sarah and I had a cocktail with our dinner and then headed to the supper club for one and then down to the thirsty otter for another. We were back at the fire by 1130p and sound asleep by midnight - not near as FUN but felt so much better when the kids woke me in a tent the next day. We still had some good laughs and enjoyed watching others dance around like fools this go round ;)Saturday - Verplank's rented a larger pontoon boat for the day and it was awesome! We took about 3 rides in total between 9a and 7p. The kids LOVED the boat as well as the fun at the cabin in between rides. Such a gorgeous day and wish it could have lasted forever!

Sunday - We slept until about 830a WOW! Got up, ate quick and then started to pack up and help get the cabin in order. All were gone by about 1030a and then back home before noon. The kids snoozed the whole drive home and I got some much needed things ordered off Amazon on the drive as well as some not so needed but wanted things off the Nordstrom annual sale online - productive drive! That productivity stuck with me all day. I got so much laundry done, beds remade, week prepared, clothes laid out etc. Clint got the yard in order and ordered the remaining white blinds for the basement and upstairs. Now I am ready to crash!!This week we finish the white trim/doors in the house and the banister/kitchen cabinet guy starts mid week. Clint and I have a pool table on hold for delivery next week. He is picking up our mega touch game for the bar tomorrow. Oh and the electric fence for Boomer gets installed next Monday. Needless to say the final pieces are all starting to come together. Now we just need to find a contractor who is reliable to put in our main hall chandelier and we are on our way :) Beyond house stuff, Clint and I will celebrate 10 years of marriage this Thursday and in honor are taking off Thurs/Fri from work. I do not know what we are doing, that is all Clint and I am so thankful for him planning as the last few months have been crazy. We live a fairly crazy busy life and these months have been so much more than normal - new house, oodles of house projects, 2 kids, regular life stresses and juggling 2 jobs - I will so cherish the break no matter what it is we are doing because we will be doing it together YAY!
We hope you all have a wonderful week ahead and enjoy your summer!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
