Clint Travels to OH & the Kids Rock Soccer!!

Clint was out of town again this week from Mon-Wed : makes for a more challenging week on the home front with Connor crying for daddy, Maci wanting to sleep in my bed and my work schedule being on the hairy side!  However, this week he got to go to Dayton, OH so he enjoyed our old stomping grounds and connected with old friends and family.  Monday night was his old MPS crew, Tuesday night was the Gilroy ladies and Wednesday afternoon was his mom for lunch.  Nice work fitting in some catch up time during a work trip babe!
While Clint was traveling and catching up, the rest of the crew was busy with 2 soccer games and a 2.5 year old checkup for Connor.  Maci's team won both games and she scored 1 goal in the first game Monday and 2 goals in the second game on Wednesday!  That girl loves soccer!!  We have no games this week due to the 4th holiday and then next week is her last week already :(  Clint and I have so enjoyed watching her blossom with this sport.  We will for sure be signing her up for Fall and Winter sessions!!  Connor's Dr apt went well - I honestly didn't even recall there being a 2.5 year old check up - random.  The Dr literally checked him over and said he is great - yep knew that so this was a waste of a rushed trip out of work on a Tuesday while single parenting HA  At least we learned he is 70% weight and now has dropped to about 50% height.

Thursday was the start of some HEAT in the twin cities.  Since it was so hot the kids had a 2nd water day which wasn't planned.  Needless to say they loved it!!  I also loved my Thursday as I had some drinks with Stacy from work during happy hour :)

 GOOFY BOY!
Friday - Also very very HOT!  We rushed home after work as I fell into some tickets for the musical Love Never Dies - a sequel to Phantom of the Opera.  Clint and I were able to score a last minute sitter so we had a great date night in the sweltering heat!  We headed downtown for some Butcher and the Boar dinner followed by the show.  It was so weird!  We read reviews which were no where near as good as Phantom of the Opera.  This felt like a mix between Wizard of Oz, Greatest Showman and America's Horror Story.  It was just dark and odd but they had amazing voices just an odd story line.  At least it was a nice night out and the tickets were a gift so you cant complain too much :)

Checking out some upcoming shows this season!
Would love to see Hamilton the tickets are impossible!!
Saturday - Started the morning with Connor's first session of Soccer Shots.  Other than not wanting either Clint or I to wander too far away, he loved it and did all the drills.  So flipping hot but also very cute!
Big Sister Walking Brother to the Car

We then did a Home Depot run before meeting up with Trip and Lori for a spur of the moment lunch. It was awesome to see those guys and then we were off for some naps and afternoon house projects.  We had thought about going to the pool but the overcast sky scared us away and we rented a movie instead.  We spent the rest of the night being productive and getting way too much laundry done while watching movies with the kids.

Sunday - It was a RAINY day until about 3p but that helped to cool it down!  Isla (Maci's friend from school) came over for a play date around 1p after M & I did the grocery run in the morning.  Isla and Maci played great together and she just got picked up about a half hour ago.

Now I am getting all sorts of work done before a busy wrap up of the compensation process this upcoming week which will be even busier thanks to the short week holiday.  However, I will totally take a free day off in the middle of the week :)  We are baking a pizza from the grocery and the kiddos are going to be in the tub shortly thereafter.

We hope you all had a wonderful week and weekend.  We wish you all a Happy & Safe 4th!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
