- We had a nice final breakfast with my parents before heading to the airport in Dayton
- Our drive, car drop off and130p flight were non eventful, thankfully
- Kids moved around a bit on the plane (why do they never sleep!)
- We got home and got right to unpacking, laundry, packing back up bookbags etc
- Clint took M to Gymnastics while Connor and I were working through laundry, however shortly after they left Connor asked to go to bed (WOAH!)
- I gave buddy a quick bath and put him to bed and he was out - probably still over coming his sickness and ready to be in his own bed after so many fun nights over the holidays!!
Someone is loving her puzzles from Christmas
Thursday -
- 1st day back to work and school - Connor had a ROUGH drop off, not only was it a new school but he simply didn't want to leave his family after a fun almost 2 weeks of play time - thankfully I handed him to a sweet teacher and he just put his head on her shoulder :(
- Maci on the other hand ran right back on the bus and was excited to see her friends
- Clint and I had uneventful days back - it is really busy at my new work because this is our new year start and so they are working through the compensation process etc - I am still really enjoying it and seeing a lot of room for me to make a great impact!
Friday -
- After work, Clint dropped Maci off at Pump It Up (an indoor bounce house place) with her girl scout friends for a few hours of bouncing, pizza and craft fun
- At the same time, I headed to Rock Elm after work to meet the girl scout mom's to learn all about the upcoming cookie sale season (HOLY COW THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS!) - Get ready Maci will be selling hard once things start in the coming weeks :)
- I picked up Maci at 9p when her Pump It Up fun ended and we headed home for bed - we were all dead after only 2 days back at our routines!!
Saturday -
- Started our routine again with Dance (got our tap costume for "see you later alligator") followed by Soccer (Maci is on the blue team this new season)
- We had lots of to dos around the house and I finally ran to the grocery around 6p
- It was in the 40s (SO NICE!) so of course that meant fire time with the neighbors - we made my friend Gena's Margarita recipe and brought a pitcher over
- Such a fun evening of conversation and some cocktails - we ended around midnight when we all realized our kids would be up in a matter of hours UGH - Love our neighbors!
Love the 40s/50s Vibe of Her Costumes This Year - Cant Wait for the Pink One!
Note - Black Leotard Wont be Under it :)
Sunday -
- Kids woke up around 730 but fortunately played on iPads and phones until we woke up around 830a
- More errands and football today followed by some sledding led by Clint and Nate for the kiddos in the hood
- I have been taking care of benefit changes, birthday party planning for M and cleaning up some reading for the new job
- Clint and I plan to wrap up our Sunday evening with the showing of my addiction - Dirty John!
He has gotten way more into dressing up as super hero
"Mom, Look! I am sitting like dad!"
Cross Legged Boys
The Bomb Sledding Hill in Our Backyard!
Connor got cold quick so he "supervised"
Ready for a full week of routine with everyone in town! We hope you all had a nice weekend and a great start to the new year!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
