July 4th Long Weekend Fun!!!!

Monday -

• I headed into work early since Clint was in town and I didn't get much catching up done over the weekend thanks to cabin fun!!
• We took a family walk to the park after a yummy dinner at home - thanks Clint!
• As I did some work on compensation, Clint had Nate and Ben over from the neighborhood for a little golden tee fun!

Tuesday - 

• Another early trip into the office to get ready for a fun long weekend!
• I ended my day at work by doing some work in the cafe area where we had the US women's game streaming!
• Another yummy dinner outside, getting use to this good summer weather!!

Wednesday - 

• Last day of work for the week!  I worked from home out on the deck all day - got a little warm but was well worth it, so pretty!
• Clint worked in the morning but then took the afternoon off to golf with Trip and Lori.
• After I ended my day around 5p, Clint and I rode together to get the kids and headed to Oak Eatery for dinner!
• We went on another family walk and ended with a trip to the park.

Thursday - 

• Happy 4th of July!!!!
• We started the day with the Edina Parade - kids got way too much candy!
• We came home, changed and headed to the Edina Aquatic Center for some fun in the sun.
• Around 4p we finally left for home, made burgers on the grill, played with sparklers and watch the Medina Country Club fireworks just before bed - what a fun 4th of July with my crew!!

Friday : 

• Clint and I both took the day off work!
• Clint hit the links with Luke in the morning.
• I ran the kids to school and then helped the painters with the final touch ups around the outside of the house - pictures coming next week after we do some yard work today!
• I got a lot of things done around the house until Clint got home around 1p.
• We then headed off on our day date to the Cov on Lake Minnetonka for cocktails and a late lunch sans kiddos!
• After our late lunch we did kindly pick up the kids early from their daycares given it was a Friday of a holiday weekend ;-)
• Clint and I fell asleep watching one of my Dateline type shows on the couch - fun day!

Enjoy these quiet times with just us!

Saturday : 

• We decided to keep the weekend fun rolling and hit up Valley Fair amusement park for our holiday Saturday!
• We arrived a little after 10a when they opened and made it all the way until 4p, only having to get the stroller and a paci for C man around 2p.
• Maci was a crazy pants and tried to get on every insane coaster.  She is probably 47.5 inches tall and of course 48 inches was the cut off.  She was able to get on a wooden coaster and a corkscrew one but the crazy insane wooden coaster and some big swing thing both gave her the boot, maybe next year M.  Connor tolerated being stuck with me for most of the day trying out the "lame" rides as M would call them HA!  We have such dare devil kiddos!
• We got home around 430p and Clint cooked up some tacos for us.  Everyone ate while the adults took turns showering - sticky hot day!
• At 630p we headed to the neighbors (Christenson's) for a late 4th of July celebration.  They had face painting and rootbeer floats for all.  We had some good conversation before Connor was over being wet - water balloons and sprinklers.  I took him home for bath/bed and I watched some TV on the couch while Maci and Clint finished the fun on behalf of all of us. 
• We were all in bed by 930p - what a FUN but BUSY day!

Sunday : 

• Now it is our get shit done day!
• I started the morning with an interval run, I have been doing more outdoor exercise lately, super fun!
• I got home in time to work on laundry before catching the USA women's soccer team win yet another World Cup!!!!
• Since then, I have been cleaning the house and packing for DC (Mon-Thurs morning) while Clint is cutting grass and getting his phone repaired at Best Buy (something under warranty with the screen).
• Later Clint will trim bushes and I will pull weeds all to end the weekend on a high note.  
• I have some work to get caught up on before heading out early tomorrow morning (530a Uber pick up!) and Clint has a long list of his own to dos as well before he feels like the long weekend can come to a close.

We are excited to spend next weekend with the Verplank's at their cabin for the annual Balsam lake get together (year 3!)
