End of Fall Baseball, Final Fall Soccer Games & U of MN Upsets USC!!

Weekdays:

• Monday - This was a great get stuff done day for me!  In the evening Connor had flag football and I hung with Miss M at her soccer practice.
• Tuesday - Connor picture day!  He loves his longer hair but that made for an interesting morning of attempting to style it the way he likes.  Busy but productive day in the office for me.  Followed by more soccer practice sitting with M in the evening while Clint and Connor roamed the house :)

• Wednesday - A carbon copy of Monday.  Connor had more football (scored a TD!) and Maci had more soccer practice 
• Thursday - I actually broke out of the office and met a friend/former co-worker Casey for lunch!  I hustled back in time for some more meetings in the afternoon.  That evening, Connor had his final ball baseball practice but the Shamoon's took him b/c Clint and I had a gala for the non-profit I sit on the board for.  They did a parents vs kids game and Connor was catching when he popped up and caught one of the dad's foul balls to end the game - Look at that grin!!!  At the gala, we did a nice donation and the karma came back around as we won the PlayStation 5, gaming headphones and $100 gift card to the Sony PlayStation store.  Let's just say Connor woke up to a major surprise on Friday morning!!!  It was a wonderful event and I am so proud to spend my energy helping this org!

Friday :

• I was a little tired all day but enjoyed working from home.
• Clint golfed in the afternoon with some buddies at Baker National Golf Course.
• I took a cat nap before both kids got home from school.
• That evening, Clint picked up Punch Pizza on his way home from golf and we all rested watching college football.

Saturday :

• I started my day with a nice massage at 8a
• We then all hustled to Connor's first fall baseball game of the double header.  I got to see him hit quite a few times and have the lead before Maci and I had to haul out to her Soccer Game.
• Connor's team went on to having 2 Wins on the day and in game two he pitched 3.5 innings with zero runs - he has become super steady under that pressure - go buddy!
• Maci's soccer game wasn't quite the same great story.  We played the other top team in our league who we beat 3-2 last time but we were down 2 subs, our goalie got a concussion in the first half so had to shift around player options.  We took a hard loss of 1-4 but Maci helped to cause a PK for our team and she hustled to the end.  It was also super special b/c her former coach Maggie came to the game.  The grin on her face when she saw her was priceless.  After the game, Maci and I joined some of the team at Pizza Luce for a post game beer/soda/pizza.
• We got home to hang out with the boys for a bit before they were off to the USC vs U of MN football game.  Connor and Clint got tickets through Connor's buddy Harrison.  His uncle is the DB coach for the U of MN so Connor/Clint, Harrison/John and Chuck/Jason all went to the game and had field passes!!!!  I mean every little boys dream!  They got autographs, talked with the coach, walked the tunnel, received gear afterward - Connor got #4s sweat bands.  It was an insane game with a last second interception by one of those DBs in the end zone to seal the win for U of MN.  They rushed the field, Connor's first experience, and just had a ball!  Thank you Wolfarth family for a wonderful evening!!
• While the boys were out at the game, Maci and I had our own fun!  We headed to Emmitt Fike's 6th grade football game.  We met up with the Cassem and Fike family so Emmitt had his Natalie and Maci on hand as cheerleaders!  A tough loss to a good Minnetonka team but Emmitt was a total stud - breaking up passes, running the ball.  Afterward, we all ate at Duke's on 7, watched football and enjoyed each other.  Maci and Natalie cooked up a slumber party at our house which was nice as they watched a movie, I went to bed and the boys rushed a field HA

Sunday : 

• Everyone slept in after the girls hung out until 2a and the boys got home late from the game.
• We had donuts and hung out in the morning - Natalie left around 11a.
• We then tuned into the Bengals game which was great until it wasnt.  I had to listen to the end of it in the car on our way to Maci's soccer game - goodness we shit the bed.
• Sadly Maci's team looked about the same - they tied 2-2 which isnt awful but against a team we creamed time one 6-0.  We just looked tired and slow.
• We made the long drive home b/c we were in WI for the game and then got everyone ready for the week ahead.  I was exhausted which is why this post is coming a few days late.

We are enjoying all the things that fall offers except cooler temps - we have still been in the high 70s and 80s which we wont complain about b/c it will be cold in no time!  Hope you are all enjoying the fall season as well.
