Great Seeing You Jim
Visit Soon!
While Clint and I were getting ready for the week, the kiddos kept themselves busy with some measuring cups in the kitchen :) I love when Maci plays with him, so sweet - until the BOSSY side comes out and she tells him "how" to play - no clue where she gets that from ;-)We had a fairly normal and busy work/school week and couldn't wait for the weekend! Clint was off to a Guy's Weekend at our neighbor friend John's cabin. I was getting my hair done Friday evening and then having a chill weekend with my kiddos.

Friday - Brief day in the office for both Clint and me. We headed around 130p for his endocrinologist apt and learned a lot more about the final step in his treatment. Clint will likely do his radioactive iodine in mid November and will need to be out of our home in isolation for ~5 days. We hope to hear more about scheduling later this week. Afterward, Clint ran some quick errands while I was off to a 4p hair apt. I had been putting off getting my hair colored for a little too long so it was great to have a few hours to myself to get pampered. Clint had to head to Guy's Weekend around 630p so Amanda from next door came over to play with my kiddos until I got home about an hour later. Maci and I then enjoyed a pizza while Connor headed to bed.

Saturday - The kids and I woke to get ready for our usual dance lessons for Maci. We were only 5 mins late, go me! Maci loved class with her friend Juliette while Juliette's mom and I discussed this embarrassing election race in our country - seriously glad my kids can't understand the news! After dance, we were off to brunch at Pub 819 with our old Saturday brunch crew - The Zehrs and The Cassems. About 15 mins in we remembered just how crazy having brunch was with these 8 kiddos and I did it single parent style. It was still a good time and nice to catch up with good friends. After brunch, we were home for the day - I wasn't braving any more trips with the crazy duo. Connor took some great naps, I ordered groceries for delivery on Instacart and we got lots of things done around the house, including thinking through holiday plans for the upcoming season :) After Connor went to bed, Maci and I had a "movie theatre" night at home. We watched............SURPRISE Beauty and the Beast - UGH but it is cute how much Maci loves it and asks 24/7 "mom, when is the beast nice again?" Once the movie ended, we had to FaceTime Grandma because Maci wanted to show her new dance moves. I was shocked when Maci was telling us first position and all sorts of other legit dance terms - go Maci girl and Teacher Heather!

Sunday - Clint gets home today! We are expecting him around noon. Until then, I am getting many of my usual Sunday tasks complete so I can get much needed work done in peace/quiet while he has the kids and then I can enjoy the Bengals game in the late afternoon. As I write this, Maci is playing a nice game of pretend with her dolls in the living room while Connor takes a morning nap - these are the times I can handle alone :) That was a different story about an hour ago when I had wet hair, Maci was screaming for lipstick and Connor was just SCREAMING. I may or may not have text Clint to hurry the hell up ;-) Let's hope the weekend wraps up nicely with some Football wins and good productivity against my lengthy to do list for work.
We hope each of you have a wonderful Sunday and even better week ahead!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
