Lazy Fall Weekend

This will likely be a quick post as this was a very quick and thankfully fairly uneventful week.  We wished a lot of people Happy Birthdays this week : Aidan, Preston, Neil, Ozy and PJ.  The kids had fun with dad on Monday when daycare was closed and Maci got her wish to come see our work where there is a lot of candy :)  I got a flu shot on Tuesday which is always a proud moment given my aversion to needles ;-)  And somewhere in between, the week just flew by which is what the years seem to feel like at times as well!

Friday - Like I said, fairly lazy weekend which was much needed!  I picked up the kiddos, grabbed Clint who had already made it home and we were off to Noodles and Co for dinner.  Afterward, we decided to treat Miss M who ate her dinner fairly well with a trip to Yum Bakery.  Maci was so enamored with her cupcake that we Facetimed Nanny to show her the treat :)  Clint was a sweetie who let me crash in bed alone around 745p and I think I was out cold by 8p - my body must have needed some rest!!

Saturday - We enjoyed the regular dance class followed by bagels and grocery shopping.  We even picked up a few new fall/winter essentials for the kiddos while at Target.  I don't think Clint wants to come along on one of those trips for some time now but it was productive and long ;-)  We then came home for some good fall afternoon naps, play time and college football watching.  Around dinner we headed to the mall to return some jackets I had ordered online, found some new ones that I liked much better and grabbed some carry out for dinner.  We got back just in time for Connor's bedtime and OSU Buckeye kickoff.  Connor went down like the dream, typical and I convinced Maci to go to bed around 9p, typical.  Clint and I then enjoyed some quiet time watching the end to a stressful Buckeye game that we fortunately came out on the winning side of - YAY!!

Sunday - Started the day with some slow moving showers, getting dressed, eating breakfast.  However, we finally pulled ourselves together and took a gorgeous family morning walk.  Now the rest of the day will be lazy NFL football watching mixed with some preparation for the week ahead.  I am currently enjoying the few moments of quiet while Clint takes a late morning shower, Connor naps and Maci plays in her room alone - Ahhhhh silence, something this house doesn't hear too often!  I spoke too soon, out came Maci asking for a snack :)
