Recovery Week 2 & Pumpkin Patch Fun

This was a great week with Clint continuing to progress and was even feeling so good that he got some small projects around the house completed in between light walks and naps.  In addition, our kids seemed to be extra cute this week, probably changing into fall or something so I took a higher number of pictures than usual :)  Enjoy!

Sorry to Clint's so so sad Dolphins :)

Friday - TGIF!!  Who doesn't love a gorgeous fall Friday?!  I had a few meetings and my bins arrived since we are moving back to the Office Center post renovation - so nice to be right next to the kids daycare again and in the same building as Clint.  Mr Connor also thought it was going to be a great Friday!

After work we enjoyed our last meal visit with Jess and Dan before watching the Toledo Rockets play BYU in football.  Clint invited our friend from Cargill, Danny, to come over and enjoy the game.  It was a close one which made for a late night - I finally called it an evening around midnight and missed BYU kicking a game winning field goal - darn it!  Even Clint could acknowledge it was an awesome game and his Rockets still looked good on the road.

Saturday - Ah fall routine!  We were all a bit tired Saturday morning thanks to the late game and Miss M having a rough night of sleep.  However, the whole family was excited to get to Maci's dance class and her friend Juliette was back this week - yay!

We came home for some afternoon chores and quick naps/snacks etc.  We were then off to lunch and the apple orchard/pumpkin patch which we had been looking forward to all year but hadn't gone yet with Clint's ordeal the last few weekends.

Maci was VERY selective - didn't want any with dirt ;-)

After the pumpkin patch we all rested with college football before Clint so kindly ran the grocery trip errand while I finished off laundry.  We were all laying in our beds by 830p and didn't even care after having such a busy day and late night the day before.  Love the weekends!

Sunday - Today is an interesting Sunday with neither of our teams playing having been in the Thursday night game.  Instead we finished up our many needed thank you notes to all the wonderful assistance we have had over the last several weeks.  We are also making a crock pot of wild rice soup and preparing for a early afternoon visit from Trip/Lori and our dear friend Jim who is visiting for the Ryder cup.  We are excited to eat/drink and be merry with no worries of our team losing today :)  We will likely wrap up our day with either a family nap or walk (depending on moods) and then the usual Sunday evening "get things ready for the week" routine.  Clint is so excited to be back to work tomorrow and I am excited to have him there as well :)  We will go to his endocrinologist apt together next Friday afternoon and learn more about the final step with the radioactive iodine treatment in the coming weeks.  We are so ready to have this as a blip in life behind our sweet family!

We hope you all have a great week ahead!  Clint is looking forward to a "Guys weekend" with the neighborhood guys at John's cabin this coming weekend and I am excited for him to have that time with the guys from the 'hood!  Life is good!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
