Daycare Buddies
What a quick and pain free work week - I could handle these more often! I had a very peaceful Tuesday (thinking many extended the weekend a day longer) followed by Maci's dress rehearsal. It was so flipping cute and couldn't wait for my mom and Clint to see the real thing come Sunday.Wednesday was a little nuttier at work but it was already my Friday so I just had to make it to 6p when I got to pick up my mom for a 4 day weekend!
Mystery Reader - Gavin's Dad
My mom's flight came in according to plan and we had a yummy Chick fil a dinner in the car together on our ride home to the house. Once home, Maci bombarded my mom with Go Fish, Old Maid etc while I got a few lingering emails wrapped up. Connor was already in bed still battling what we thought were teeth issues - ugh more to come on that topic.Thursday - Wahoo long weekend commence! So we started the day by saying ta ta to the kids and Clint, watched some Today show before getting moving four our joint 75 min massages at The Marsh. My mom had never had a massage so I was super excited for her to experience this. Needless to say she loved it and mine was one of my best massages ever :) YAY! As we were getting changed to leave and head to lunch I received a call from Clint, turns out Connor had a 103 temp and needed to head home. Thankfully Clint was in a very kind mood and decided he had enough for the work week too and took a 1/2 day to pick up Connor and do yard stuff. Since Connor was in good hands and we picked up more Tylenol for Clint, my mom and I proceeded as planned to our lunch on Maynard's patio - AMAZING weather all weekend long. We enjoyed yummy cocktails for some day drinking as well as great food!
Great View of Lake Minnetonka
We drove around looking at some houses and then rested on the couches at home before heading to pick up Miss M from daycare. We wrapped up the evening with grilled steak, potatoes and corn outside - Yum!
Friday - We kicked off the day by getting Connor a Dr apt as we were thinking it may be strep or Roseola which was going around his room. I was hoping for strep so we could get meds and have him on the mend ASAP. Of course, I wouldn't be so lucky and they are thinking it is likely viral and potentially Roseola but you won't really know until a rash shows after he was already contagious and ran the high fevers. Sweet! We headed home, picked up some bagels and took walks around the neighborhood before hitting up the grocery with my mom and Maci.
Dr Office Sad Face & Grandma Cuddles
We then rested around the house before heading to the pool for late afternoon/early evening swimming. Maci was a total fish and well Connor hated every minute of it - UGH poor kid!
After pizza dinner we fell asleep early thanks to sunshine and chlorine.
Saturday - We started the HOT day with more walks around the neighborhood. After waiting for Connor to hopefully feel better we finally made the call to head to MOA (mall of America) so Maci could ride some rides. Connor napped almost the entire time in the stroller. Maci was excited that JoJo was having a concert in the middle of the Mall at the same time we were there - big girl!
After a few rides and some lunch we headed back home and all took some late afternoon naps. . . we have been wearing ourselves out with the sun and go go fun!
Since we took such late naps, we were ready to hang a bit for drinks and s'mores around the fire. Clint headed up to give Connor meds around 10p and my Mom and I stayed up to attempt to watch the remake of the Love Connection. It was NOT worth staying up until almost midnight to watch that show but we had some good chuckles.
Sunday - The much anticipated dance recital! After picking up new flowers for our pots, we spent the GORGEOUS morning outside in the backyard. While doing so, Connor kept sleeping on and off - no more fever but still miserable!
Gardening Pals
Grandma and the Bathing Beauties
Around 100p we had to start getting ready for the big anticipated production but first happy 32nd birthday wishes were sent to Aunt Meghan! Maci loved every minute of getting ready and having her hair curled - she wanted her big reveal to be a surprise for grandma. Alaina came to watch Connor (Thank Goodness we had a sitter for him since he slept most of the time while we were gone) and we were off for her 3p arrival time!

1st Day of Dance in Sep and Last Day of Dance in June
Grandma and Her Tiny Dancer
"My Flowers are So Beautiful Dad"
It was an adorable recital and Maci did GREAT! We came home to relieve Alaina and then my mom and I picked up Noodles and Co for dinner. We ate out back to enjoy the last few hours of an amazing 4 day weekend! I am now working on the blog outside while my mom reads her book, Clint pushes Maci on the swing with her neighbor friend Nora and Connor sleeps AGAIN (please wake up feeling better buddy!) We are getting my mom checked into her flight and getting prepared for a full week back to school and work. I will work from home tomorrow morning before driving my mom to the airport around lunch for her 130p flight. We wish every weekend was this long, fun and warm :)
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a great week ahead!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
