Gavin's Big Brother - Former Miss Kim Preschool Graduate
After flying through an afternoon at work, I was off to pick up M, feed her some quick dinner and head to her first ice skating lesson. I mean how flipping cute are these pictures? She loved it but mom learned a few tips : she needs gloves (cold hands when falling) and we should do snow pants (more padding for falls and doesn't make her butt wet!). She is excited for this coming Monday so success on finding another activity she enjoys. I was caught by her looking at my computer a few times vs watching her every move #multitaskingworkingmomma
I was home with Mr C man on Tuesday. Poor guy slept almost the entire day AGAIN! In addition, I never heard from the Dr on Measles results. Since we were past the 24 hour mark, I called a few times and they swore they were hounding the Department of Health but since Connor was still down for the count, I couldn't complain too much as he likely needed to stay home again on Wednesday. Clint got him to give some smiles when he got home for dinner but then right back to bed for fella.

Clint was home with C man on Wednesday and thankfully (not good for Clint's workload productivity) Connor was back to himself. He was a busy and on the move toddler all day long. Now I was losing my patience with the turn around time from the Department of Health as we STILL hadn't heard the results. Connor is not able to go back to daycare until we know the results and if it is Measles his daycare would have to close the 2 little kid rooms for 14 days!!!! I NEED RESULTS. Finally I called again for the 4th time in 2 days at 230p and they just got the results - Negative! Music to my ears! I shared with Clint and Mr Connor was ready to head back to school the next day.

Everyone was back to school on Thursday and I had a happy hour as well as a night call which made for a very long day! Fortunately, the weather has continued to be nice which allowed for my evening work to be completed outdoors :)

Friday - I am a total weirdo and I know it but I hate feeling not only behind but not having an idea or organized plan for how to get caught up on key needs. That is how this week had gone with work, I was treading water and starting to drown. In order to get back to a normal balance, I decided to get in nice and early and bang out some much needed items. Therefore, I was at work by 5a. . . AHH so much time in peace and quiet! Of course this had me dragging by 430p but productive which is what I love! Clint was kind enough to dress both kids, while he is usually drop off, I usually have them all dressed and eating before I leave. The kids enjoyed their Friday even more than me - they had their first water day!!!!
Saturday - We had a fun but HOT day! We hit about 97 degrees in MN which called for a morning of errands and some outdoor play and then a pool day post naps!! Connor is our total fish!! He LOVED the whale and blue slide - Clint and Connor or Me and Connor must have gone down the whale slide at least 50 times while we were there for ~3 hours. Even Maci, still a chicken on the big slides with dad, is becoming more and more of a fishy. She would have swam all night if we let her. We ate a dinner at Culver's and then all crashed, even Maci by 9p latest. Sun and chlorine is a sure fire way to put me to sleep and seems the same for the rest of my gang!

Sunday - We are getting some much needed rain/storms today. The kids all slept until 830a . . . our house so needed this great night of sleep! No sooner did we wake up that the storm started. It was some HIGH winds and hail! We are going to check for any siding damage later today. Fortunately the storms moved on fairly quickly and it is still overcast and rainy outside. As much as I love warm weather fun weekends, it is nice to have a day where you don't feel guilty being outside and can get some much needed to do items completed. We are getting laundry done, bills paid etc. After showers, we will be heading as a family to the grocery and then likely doing some movies and couch cuddles through the afternoon. Lazy Sunday Fun!
We have a busy but fun week ahead! All family members are in town and healthy - prayers! Super popular Maci has skating on Monday night and starts a Lil Rookies program at a local park Tues and Thurs night. It is a mini sports camp that runs the next 3 weeks, 2 nights a week and explores all sorts of sports (soccer, basketball, baseball etc). Also on Wednesday, the same local park is having a kids music night from 7-8p and I have a happy hour the same evening. So yes, crazy week ahead in our evenings not to mention the hectic schedules during the day but oh what fun this summer has been already!!! I can't wait to share pictures of Maci's new sporting adventures :)
We hope you all have a great week ahead!
Lots of Love,
C, K, M & C
