Happy Birthday & Mothers Day

We had a fun week at the Mondell house!

Monday - It was my 35th birthday and other than landing on a Monday, it was a nice day!  We all rode to work/school together, I had a busy day and then we headed to Benihana (family fav) for dinner.  We had lots of good laughs and the kids behaved - thank you for the best birthday present!

The week rolled on with spring picture day on Thursday - they are so damn cute!  We are hoping the real pictures turn out as great as these ones!

Friday - Clint had the day off and worked with our contractor Brent on the living room.  They mounted a new 75 inch TV on the wall (a titch over the top but this was Clint's main house excitement beyond the riding lawn mower.)  They also changed out what had been the prior TV mount into built in shelving.  It took longer than anticipated so Brent will be back in 2 weeks to hang the other basement TV, finish up the speaker wiring in the living room and hang my new dining room chandelier - slow and steady it is feeling like our home!  That night Clint headed to Trip's birthday dinner while I watched the kiddos.  Lori invited both of us but we already had a sitter for Saturday night and felt bad doing that to the kids 2 nights in a row and really hard to get a sitter on short notice.  I crashed on the couch with some recorded TV and Clint got home around 11p.

Saturday - Dance in the morning with the kids while Clint went to his "how to be a soccer coach" clinic - what a good dad!  We both got home around lunch so M and I headed right out to perfect her 2 wheel bike riding while Clint headed to get a haircut.  Once Clint got home, I got a nap in and then it was time to get ready for our couples night out.  This celebration was in honor of us May birthdays - 3 of the ladies have the same birthday month!!  It was such a fun night with a few too many but so many laughs and good convo - these are our people!  Kids also loved having Miss Kaitlin come to the new house :)

Sunday - Happy Mothers Day!!!  I woke up feeling a little rough :)  Thankfully Clint kept M out of my hair so I could sleep until about 8a.  We watched some Despicable Me 3 and then checked on Connor who was finally up around 930a.  We showed Clint M's bike riding skills and then headed to breakfast out.  We then did some family grocery/target trip (bad idea - kids were not feeling it!)  We then got home for Connor's nap and mine too HA while Clint and M rode the riding lawn mower for the first time.  M got bored and played nails with the girls across the street.  Connor took a rockstar 3.5 hour nap today - I knew he was tired!  We are now wrapping up the to dos around the house and about to hit Maynard's on the Lake Minnetonka for a lovely mothers day dinner outside!  I have to do a little work tonight but at least I was spoiled by my crew all weekend long!!!

We have a fun week ahead too!  Lots of warm weather - 80s all week.  M & Clint start their soccer on Mon and Wed nights - only practices this week, no games yet.  We get the floors resurfaced and stained Mon/Tues of this week.  So much good stuff going in life - we are blessed!
